Watching the sun rise from our hotel on the beach at Nags Head, Cape Hatteras NC was about as close as I get to religious experiences. We were up on the 7th floor on our balcony, coffee cups in hand, as Nature slowly disclosed a magnificent sunrise. I didn't mind the slight chill in the air. The surf fisherman (in the last frame of sunrise) didn't seem to mind either.
The day was also wonderful. The beach was mostly deserted.
Lots of Canada Geese on the sound side of Cape Hatteras.
The sea oats were as pretty as the ones on Pensacola Beach.
Impressive lighthouse
Wonder open view of the beach and surf zone.
Seagull and surfers
Surfers were all wearing wetsuits to keep warm
